The Triglav Circle is an association founded after the United
Nations Seminar on Ethical and Spiritual Aspects of Social
Development, held in Bled, Slovenia in October 1994.

This panel will introduce the book to be published entitled:
Candles in the Dark: Ideas for an Ethical and Spiritual
Awakening. This book is an international compendium of essays
offering ideas for an ethically and spiritually enriched
socio-political philosophy that esteems the human spirit and
dignity as central values in policy making; seeks links between
self interest and the common good; and introduces in a practical
way philosophical, spiritual, and cultural perspectives into
approaches to global political and socio-economic problems.
Contributors represent a wide spectrum of scholarship, practical
experience, and cultural histories. The contributors, professors
in various disciplines as well as practitioners in business,
diplomacy, and public policy share a sense of the importance of
introducing ethical and spiritual concepts into the public
discourse on development and global issues.
